Vanaf 28 februari gaat Air France naar Accra in Ghana vliegen.
Er zullen drie vluchten per week worden uitgevoerd. In de eerste maand wordt een A330-200 ingezet met 208 stoelen. Daarna stapt de maatschappij over op een grotere B777-200 met 312 stoelen. Deze toestellen hebben ook de vernieuwde Air France cabines.

“These three weekly flights will strengthen Air France’s presence in Africa as well as the Air France-KLM Group’s presence, as KLM already flies daily from Amsterdam to Accra. With this new service, we will provide Air France customers with even more connecting opportunities at Paris-Charles de Gaulle, both to and from Europe and North America. We also want to support Ghana’s buoyant economy, led by the development of the oil industry. Finally, our long-haul network is expanding in a region where we are already a leader” zegt Frédéric Gagey, voorzitter en CEO van Air France.

De vlucht wordt uitgevoerd op dinsdag, donderdag en zaterdag vanaf Charles de Gaulle. Vertrek is om 15:30 uur (in maart om 13:30) en aankomst rond acht uur. De terugvlucht vertrekt om 23:40 uur en komt om 08:00 uur aan.

De groep heeft 46 bestemmingen in Afrika. Dankzij Kenya Airways zijn er nog eens achttien extra bestemmingen op het continent.
